I have read this line several times today as I peruse blogs… It would seem bloggers everywhere (particularly Christian bloggers) are desperate for us to remember that, as the stores become over-crowded, the malls become impassible, and “the Season” is upon us; we need to stop and give thanks. First. Not later. Not sometime. First.

Matty – my husband and I were just talking about that yesterday – he was complaining about the commercialization of Christmas and I reminded him – we choose to celebrate Christ’s birth – and that doesn’t have to reflect what the rest of the country is doing. We Christians need to remember to focus on Christ and not the gift-buying/getting.
